Thursday 4th September – Bourton Combe
9 of us did a 5 mile walk in good weather after the initial downpour. It was followed by a delicious lunch at the George in Backwell
Thursday 18th September – Wrington
Ian Bickerton led 8 on a 6 mile walk followed by lunch at The Plough
Sunday 28th September – 1st October Ironbridge
The walking group enjoyed a 3 day break in Shropshire.
On day 1 there were 2 walks on offer from the hotel; a 4mile walk returning through Coalbrookdale and a shorter walk around the town.
On day 2 we did walks from the hotel again and visited the tile factories and along to Coalporter, pottery and back via the tar tunnel .
On day 3 we went to Ludlow and visited St Lawrence church and the castle and walked down to the river Teme, a tributary of the Severn.
