Sunday 5th May

Sapperton, Thames and Severn Canal. Andy and Lorna Renshaw

15 people enjoyed a lovely 8 plus…miles walk on Sunday  lead by Andy and Lorna.
We started In  Sapperton  village, up Charlford hills  through beautiful large green fields with wild flowers….garlic fields…all the way up to
Oakridge Lynch where we stopped for lunch. Then down the hills and through Siccaridge woods, along the abandoned Severn and Thames canals, past the “Sapperton canal tunnel”, it was the longest canal tunnel in England from 1789 to 1811(3490 meters)
