Sunday July 12th
Sue O led a walk from Uley. The first club walk with the current restrictions.
Thursday 23rd July
Spandorium Hill Circuit led by Steve Day.
There were 6 participants of the 6 mile walk on 23rd July. The walk started and finished at the Fox, Easter Compton.
Weather was part cloudy and about 19C. It was dry on the walk with a forecast of light rain in the afternoon.
The route was part fields and part roads with only 2 climbs to 200ft. It took in Catbrain near Cribbs Causeway, Filton disused airfield, Brentry, Henbury station and back along the Spandorium Hill ridge with good views of Severnside and the Second Severn Crossing.Going was good and the walk completed in about 3 hours inclusive of a coffee break and picnic lunch break. All participants managed a good pace. Social distancing and hand sanitation was observed.
3 of us indulged in a drink at the Fox at the end.
Sunday 25th July
Margaret, Hilda, Liz and Sue did a walk from Backwell in mainly good weather. But it did rain at lunch time.
Thursday 30th July
Andy and Lorna led a walk from Portbury in lovely sunshine.
