Thursday 8th June – Chew Valley Lake

Alison led a walk starting at Herriot’s Bridge. There were 10 of us when we left Cross Elms but only 7 walked and braved the heavy rain at the start. It soon cleared and we walked through Compton Martin and W. Harptree with great views across 2 lakes. We also used the first kissing gate donated by Stoke Lodge Ramblers which was just besides our lunch stop.

Sunday 18th June – Sand Bay

Gordon and Wendy led a varied walk from Sand Bay along the beach and up through the wood to Weston sea front. We were entertained by the Weston air show and the Red Arrows at lunchtime.IMG_4113
