Saturday June 17th – Wye Valley

Andy Renshaw lead a longer walk and Lorna lead a 6 mile walk missing the rain in Bristol. Both groups started Chepstow to Tintern via the bat tunnel (no bats seen)

June 19 – Frome Valley

Due to the extremely hot weather Christine’s walk from Wellow was postponed and Wendy stepped in to lead a more shady 5 mile walk .

Sunday 22nd June – Portishead

Alison led a 9.5 mile walk with variable weather

Saturday 28th June – Kilve

17 of us went on the club summer outing to Kilve in Somerset . There were 9 walkers on the more challenging walk with a steep climb into the Mendips and then a walk following the stream down Hodder’s Combe. The others did a shorter walk near the coast and saw some beautiful wild flowers. Some of the short walkers also visited Cleeve Abbey.

We all met up at the Chancery tea room for delicious ice creams and cream teas before visiting the Plough in Holford for our excellent evening meal.
